Keeping you safe and well
Our priority is to keep people safe. Nothing is more important to us and we will continue to make sure Chantry Place is a clean and safe place to be. We have looked at every element of what we need to do to run our centre as safely as possible and we have put the following measures in place. We’d like to thank everyone for their patience and for working with us to keep everyone in our local community safe.
Please keep a safe physical distance from others and follow the additional safety measures in the centre.
Everyone that visits our centre, whether that’s to work or to shop, will need to wear a face covering. A face covering is something which safely covers the nose and mouth. Anyone not wearing one, could be refused entry to the centre or asked to leave. There are some exceptions, these being children under 11, people with disabilities or those with breathing difficulties. As per Government guidelines people also don’t need to wear a face covering if they are seated in one of our restaurant/bar or table serviced food areas. Members of the team will be on hand to support our visitors throughout their visit.
We have hand sanitisation stands at key points throughout our centre for everyone to use. We ask that everyone makes use of these when entering the centre and regularly throughout their visit. We also have toilet facilities with access to soap and hot water.
Queuing and access
Our team is managing the number of visitors inside the centre and we will have controls in place at our entrance and exit points to help us to do that effectively. Where necessary, we will have a queueing system outside of the centre to regulate footfall.
Access on foot to Chantry Place is via our Chapelfield Plain and St Stephens Street entrances only. Please note that these are the only exits too. You cannot enter or leave the centre via Coburg Street or Chantry Road. Because we cannot queue visitors safely on St Stephens Street this entrance will open around 5 minutes later than Chapelfield Plain and may have to be closed if the centre reaches capacity.
The toilets, baby change, accessible toilets and changing places facilities on our Dining Terrace are open. The facilities on the Lower Ground Mall near Boots will remain closed (apart from baby change and a radar key operated cubicle for disabled visitors).
