Adventure and creativity have been stampeding through Chantry Place recently, not only due to the fantastic safari animals on display, but also thanks to the incredible artwork submitted as part of the GoGoSafari drawing competition.
And thanks to three of the artists who have produced designs for this year’s trail, deliberations have now concluded and three lucky winners have been selected:
Artist P Fox Goddard chose nine year old Jaxon’s entry of an eye-catching rhino, saying “this rhino is colourful and imaginative, and most like the beast in the box. A smashing, vibrant design”.
Ten year old Charlotte’s lion was the choice for artist David Cutts, who was impressed with its magical abilities: “I love the colourful patterns and imaginative features on the lion, which even includes a tail that can change the weather! The lion is so creative and joyful and one that I would like to meet in real life”.
And finally, a striking gorilla drawn by ten year old Arthur was Daniel Bland’s choice. “I loved Arthur’s drawing and the fun bananas he added, I’m sure ‘Silverback’ would be just like that!”
General manager of Chantry Place, Jo Bates, says: “We’ve loved seeing all of the entries that have been submitted, the children who entered really did let their imaginations run as wild as the animals they were imagining! I’m just glad we had three artists to choose the winners as there’s no way I could have whittled them down!”
Each winner will receive a £50 Langley’s voucher, the perfect treat to kick start the summer holidays. Well done to all of the winners!
Charlotte popped into the centre recently to collect her prize, and proudly showed us her winning entry.
