Purpose of the Role

At Chantry Place we aim to be East Anglia’s premier shopping destination creating a environment that surpasses the aspirations of our visitors.

The purpose of the environmental services assistant role is to work with other team members to deep clean the common areas safely and efficiently. You are responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of specifically areas to the required standards. You will be expected to present a professional, friendly image at all times. You will have the ability to work both individually and within a team. You will be capable of carrying out your duties without constant supervision and be proactive in ensuring your area of responsibility meets the highest possible standards of cleanliness and safety.

Whilst it would be ideal for you to have previous experience within a commercial cleaning role, we will provide full and ongoing training to all our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• To clean our mall floors, toilets, lifts and outside area, ensuring that safety and cleanliness is of the
  highest standard providing the best possible customer experience.
• To deliver great customer service to our customers, retailers and contractors.
• Help support with the collecting and sorting waste into appropriate waste streams.
• Have pride in your own appearance and the centre.
• You must be aware of your own responsibilities and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

• Dedicated enthusiastic team player with a strong eye for detail
• Good communication skills
• Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Cleaning related qualifications (BICs)
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety procedures

Working Hours – 40 hours, 5 shifts on, 3 shifts off 10am – 7pm

Salary – £26,208
