Make Time to Talk this Thursday 5th February with ‘Mind’

Talking isn’t hard – we do it all the time; at work, over coffee with a friend, with family at the end of the day…but what about talking about our mental health?

Those conversations aren’t so easy. That’s why we are supporting Mind’s Time to Talk Day this Thursday (5th February), which aims to shine a spotlight on why opening up about how we’re feeling – as well as listening to others – is so important.

The following two members of the Norfolk and Waveney Mind team will be in centre on Thursday all day, to raise awareness and encourage people to start conversations with their friends and families about their mental health. Just a small gesture can help to break down barriers and allow anyone who’s struggling to open up.

  • Murray is the Manager of REST Norwich mental health hub, which offers day support, cafe, groups and evening sanctuary.
  • Paul is the Manager of REST Aylsham mental health support hun, which offers 1:1, drop-in support and group activities including the telephone support line.

Both Murray and Paul have worked for Norfolk and Waveney Mind for 4 years.

Pop by and have a chat with them for any advice or useful resources, or why not simply check in with a friend you haven’t seen in a while?
