Indian-food fans will no doubt love the arrival of street-food inspired Mowgli, opening at Chantry Square on 8th August, but when a brand truly invests in the local area through more than just providing delicious dishes and jobs, now that really is something to celebrate.

Mowgli was created with charitable giving at the heart of the business, and working hand in hand with the Mowgli Trust, a discretionary £1 is added to every bill and then donated to a local charity, and for Norwich, that is East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH). To date, the Mowgli Trust has raised over £2.6m for local and world charities.

Famous for its freshly-cooked and vibrant dishes packed full of flavour, Mowgli brings a unique blend of home-style Indian cooking and immersive atmosphere to Chantry Square, making it the destination of choice for international cuisine foodies.

And, as a special welcome offer, for the first week, Mowgli is giving diners its signature Chat Bombs – crisp bread puffs filled with yogurt, spices, chutney and chickpeas – on the house.

General manager of Chantry Place, Jo Bates, says: “We’re really proud to offer such a wide variety of global flavours, and Mowgli is the perfect addition, bringing a true taste of India to Norwich. Its ethos of supporting local charities fits so well with our own and we can’t wait for the doors to open and for shoppers to experience its mouth-watering menu!”

Nisha Katona, owner and CEO of Mowgli, says: “Mowgli is a place to kick back with friends and family, two and four-legged, as we have a passion for the things that matter to you. It’s about creating a home-from-home, where food and kindness come first.”
