What are the opening hours at Chantry Place?

Centre opening hours are at the top of the page and always displayed on our home page. So always check here first to see our latest times.

When are the car parks open? How many spaces do you have? Are there motorcycle spaces, disabled and parent/child spaces?

The car park has 1,000 spaces, including 49 disabled spaces and 58 parent and child spaces.

Motorcycle parking is also available and there is signage to direct visitors on entering the car park.

Are there any toilets? Are there disabled and baby changing facilities?

Toilets, disabled facilities and baby change rooms can be found on the Lower Ground mall and the Dining Terrace.  A ‘changing places’ facility is also available at Dining Terrace level.

Why did you change your name to Chantry Place?

In 2020 we were obliged to remove all aspects of ‘intu’ and ‘Chapelfield’ branding so we decided to positively embrace the changes and rebrand ourself to ‘Chantry Place’ which acknowledges the rich history of our location in the fine city of Norwich. Chantry Place takes its name from the historic surrounds on which it is located, with the name embracing the site’s medieval heritage as a secular college and chapel, built during the 1200s, which was known as a chantry. Chantry Road runs along the side of the Centre and we also took the opportunity to rename Chapelfield Plain as Chantry Square.
