Christmas – Tunnel of Stars, late night shopping and pop ups
News: 12 October 2021
Back to newsFollowing the recent opening of Hamleys toy shop and being home to over 90 fantastic shops, cafés and restaurants in Norwich, our popular ‘tunnel of stars’ has now returned to Chantry Square! One of Norwich’s most loved spots for a Christmas social media selfie last year, the three giant walk through stars is already bringing some magic to Chantry Square.
In addition to brands including Apple, House of Fraser, The Real Greek, wagamama, H&M HOME, River Island, Langleys toy shop and more, we also have some new pop ups for the festivities. The Calendar Club, at Chantry Place until 9 January, offers a huge range of calendars, diaries, planners, stationery and books.
Lisa Angel have a stand, in addition to their unit in the Centre, selling their beautiful dried flowers until 9 January and it looks blooming gorgeous!
Chilli Cheese is in the centre until Christmas Eve. Personalised Street Signs will be at Chantry Place from 8 November until 24 December.
Following the recent extension of opening times to our 1,000 space car park, with new entries allowed until 8pm every day, we will also be extending our opening hours for late night Christmas shopping on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December, opening until 8pm on Thursdays and until 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays in the lead up to Christmas. The Centre will close at 5pm on Christmas Eve.
We caught up with Paul McCarthy, General Manager at Chantry Place, who said: “Over the last few months, we have welcomed Hamleys, H&M HOME and The Real Greek to the Centre, so have even more choice for people visiting Chantry Place to shop, dine and enjoy all the festivities this year, as well as our Christmas pop ups. Last year, the tunnel of stars brought lots of smiles to Norwich shoppers and we can’t wait to do it all again this year. With people starting their Christmas shopping early this year, a lot of our retailers are already stocking Christmas gifts, toys and home accessories, and our fashion retailers, from Zara to House of Fraser and H&M, have got party fashion, jumpers and colder weather essentials covered. Our restaurants and cafes also have lots of delicious menus from limited edition Christmas coffees and drinks to tasty and warming dining options and Christmas party menus.”
