Back to newsThe Planetarium at Chantry Place as part of Norwich Science Festival 2021 may be sold out, but there are still lots of reasons to visit Chantry Place this Half Term.
From shops to food, Escape Hunt and picking up your Halloween essentials, make sure you pay us a visit. Oh, and did someone mention stars?
Here are five reasons to visit…
1. Celebrate Halloween
From the oh-so-cute Halloween outfits and clothes at H&M, including bat skirts, skeleton hoodies, witches and Ghostbuster hoodies, to heading to Claire’s Halloween BOOtique for themed hair clips, jewellery and makeup, Chantry Place has your Halloween fashion covered.
Plus, head to Langleys toy shop on Saturday 30th October as they give away 250 free Halloween themed goodie bags to the first customers through their doors, as well as free face painting. For more details click here.
Lush are creepin’ it real with boo-tiful treats for your Halloween rituals – check out the Screamo bubble blower, punkin pumpkin bath bomb and ectoplasm shower slime!
For treats only head to Hotel Chocolat for its choose your poison chocolates and Halloween H-Box with frighteningly flavoursome chocolates, including oozy eyes and the grim treater.
Escape Hunt Norwich turns Escape Haunt this October! Its new VR experience, Sanctum, will see you step into a sinister world full of dark places and mystical creatures to investigate a string of mysterious disappearances in the nearby forests. 2. The stars return
Our popular ‘tunnel of stars’ will make a welcome return to Chantry Square from 25th October. One of Norwich’s most loved spots for a Christmas social media selfie last year, the three giant walk through stars will once again bring some magic when you visit Chantry Place. Make sure you tag us in your selfies on social media!
3. A family feast
From Greek to Italian, Chinese and Asian, you can eat your way around the world at Chantry Place this Half Term.
wagamama has become the first high street chain in the UK to make at least half of its menu vegan, so why not book a table at Chantry Place Norwich? With dishes like Spicy Teriyaki Vegan ‘Chicken’ Steamed Buns and Spicy Vegan ‘Short Rib’ Ramen it makes a tasty spot for lunch or dinner.
With the launch of The Boss Baby 2 this October half term, YO! has created three Boss Baby Bento Boxes to suit all tiny tastebuds. What’s more – 50p from every bento box is donated to Action Against Hunger. Choose from Salmon Katsu Bites, Chicken Karaage Bites and Maki Sushi Box. Read more here.

4. A visit to the toy shops
With the recent addition of Hamleys, Chantry Place is the Place to shop for toys! Pop into Hamleys or Langleys for some Christmas ideas or to spend some pocket money, or go and find some accessorises for your bears at Build a Bear. They even have Star Wars, Harry Potter, Paw Patrol and Animal Crossing toys who will soon become your new best friends.
Plus, Flying Tiger, The Works and Smiggle, which is a good place to experiment, prod and play, are great places to find something to keep little ones busy over the holidays.
5. Update your wardrobe
A change in weather, means the perfect excuse to shop for new clothes and boots!
