JD and NCFC host player event at Chantry Place

We recently welcomed to Chantry Place four Norwich City Football Club players to our JD store. The Premier League club and their official sleeve sponsor joined forces to host an exclusive event which saw 80 lucky fans meet their favourite players.

The highly anticipated event was hosted by Sky Sports journalist Alice Piper and presented guests with the opportunity to meet Canaries players Billy Gilmour, Jonathan Rowe, Max Aarons and Andrew Omobamidele; not forgetting a surprise appearance from the club’s legendary mascot, Captain Canary.

Fans were able to take a photo and get JD merchandise signed by the players, alongside a live Q&A where they could find out some inside. The players revealed everything from their toughest opponents to the difference in quality between the Premier League and Championship.

When asked what advice he would give to any young player trying to improve, Jonathan Rowe said: “Confidence is key. You need to have self-belief – if you believe in yourself you can achieve anything.”

To make the evening even more exciting for the guests, fantastic prizes were also awarded to some lucky fans. These prizes included a £200 JD gift card, a signed Norwich City shirt and 2 tickets to watch the upcoming home match with Brentford. With a DJ playing tunes in the background and the crowd filled with excitement, the JD Norwich store was well and truly buzzing.

One of the fan’s mums said: “Thank you for a great opportunity tonight. My son loved it and you absolutely made his year.”

The exclusive event allowed the fans to meet some of the stars of the team while also giving them the opportunity to browse our JD store here at Chantry Place, which is located on the upper ground floor.
