From applications to finalists

We were blown away by the number and quality of applications received from across the region. Narrowing it down to a shortlist of six was no easy task. Following this, each shortlisted business took part in panel interviews – sharing their vision, passion, and plans for growth. After careful consideration, our panel selected two finalists who truly stood out for their creativity, ambition, and readiness to take on a physical retail space.

Hear from our two incredible finalists below:

Evanthia Samota at Piotis Naturals

Dr Evanthia Samota, founder of Piotis Naturals, is a former medical student turned PhD biologist, graduated from the University of East Anglia. Born on the beautiful island of Cyprus, she fell in love with Norwich during her studies and never left. She blends Mediterranean botanical wisdom with cutting-edge science to create organic, vegan, cruelty-free skincare and haircare, kind to your health and the environment.

A mother of two and wife, Evanthia founded Piotis Naturals after her formulations treated her daughter’s eczema in 2 days. Our team handcrafts our creations from scratch in our 1,000 sq ft Hoveton facility, incorporating herbs grown organically in our Norwich allotment, helping people across Norfolk and beyond achieve healthy skin and hair, naturally.

Amelia Wykes at The New Archive

I am Millie, Norfolk born and bred and the founder of The New Archive. I have always had a love for fashion, through school, my Fashion Buying and Brand Management degree and into my career where I was fortunate to be a part of the rapid growth of fashion brand, Odd Muse. My skills and enthusiasm lie in product and design, this is where I feel most at home.

Launching The New Archive in 2024 was a dream come true and despite its ups and downs, there is nothing else I would want to do. I am so grateful for the support I have seen so far and the ability to make women feel their most confident is something I will never take for granted.

What is Launchpad you ask?

Launchpad is Chantry Place’s commitment to supporting local talent. One standout business will win the opportunity to operate from a retail unit completely rent-free for six months. Designed to help growing brands take their next big step, Launchpad removes one of the biggest barriers to entering the high street – giving an emerging business the chance to build a physical presence, connect with customers, and grow with confidence.

The winning brand will take over a prime retail space next to Flannels from July through to December.

Each brings something unique, exciting, and full of potential to the Chantry Place community…
