Your guide to Summer at Chantry Place

This summer, we are partnering with the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation and Run Norwich to host a free family-friendly ‘Sporting Summer’ event at Chantry Place. From Saturday 20th July until Tuesday 3rd September 2024, visitors are able to enjoy a daily sports-themed trail, plus a range of fun and free sporting activities at Chantry Place on select dates throughout the summer holidays.

The Community Sports Foundation will host free activities every Tuesday on the lower ground floor of Chantry Place near Frasers, including toe tap challenges, skipping challenges, console fun and being the ‘gaffer’ hosting post-match style interviews. Plus, competitions and photo opportunities*.

Every Wednesday in the summer holidays, Run Norwich will host free family fun at Chantry Place, including a Lotus car appearance on Chantry Square, speed bounce, treadmill and speed incline challenges, and more*. Plus, competitions and photo opportunities and an opportunity to purchase Run Norwich merchandise.

Every day at Chantry Place, enjoy a free sport themed trail, starting from Deichmann, learning sports facts and being in with a chance to enter a competition to win £600 of Sports Direct vouchers, courtesy of Chantry Place, with a gold, silver and bronze prize drawn at the end of summer, with the top prize of £300. Alongside the free sporting activities and trail, there will be a chance for people to feel like an athlete and have a selfie on the Chantry Place podium, and see giant sports medals designed by local primary schools to decorate the Centre this summer.

Pineapple Island also joined Chantry Place this summer. They are a handmade jewellery and accessories brand based along the South Coast of the UK. Costa Coffee has announced an upcoming indulgent addition to its summer drinks line-up -the tasty new Cookie Dough Frappe! And go for gold as Costa Coffee unveils new Golden Caramel drink range as the official coffee partner of the Paris 2024 Olympics Games.

Summer is finally upon us, so refresh your wardrobe and pick up your summer essentials at Chantry Place.

The Real Greek launches The Olympiad Feast Platter which includes Greek Salad, Chicken, Pork & Halloumi Skewers, Spinach Tiropitakia, Greek Flatbread & Dolmades. All served with a pot of Tzatziki & Houmous. This platter is only available from 26th July – 11th August 2024 and is available for dine-in only – its the perfect way to celebrate a summer of sports.

With Al Fresco dining at Wagamama’s, The Real Greek and Ask Italian, there are plenty of tasty dishes and refreshing drinks available on Chantry Square. Try Ask Italian for that Italian feeling, GBK if you fancy burger and fries. How about finishing things off with an ice cream from East Coast Gelato or Ben & Jerry’s?
